Notice Digest
1

Pinned notices always surface at the top automatically

2

Unread posts are sorted first so nothing slips by

3

Most-commented posts stand out at a glance

4

Multiple boards merged into one digest view

Notice Digest pulls the posts worth reading right now out of the boards and gathers them onto one screen. Pinned notices and anything you haven't read sit on the left; posts drawing comments sit on the right. You can tell whether something slipped past without walking through the board list.

What this app does

  • Pinned notices come first at the top, so an important announcement doesn't slide away under newer posts.
  • Unread posts get a dot in front and a bold title. Posts you've already read keep their place but go quiet.
  • The header carries a total unread count, so the size of the backlog is a number rather than a feeling.
  • Posts attracting a lot of comments are collected separately, so a discussion running through the organization doesn't pass you by.
  • Comment count, date, and author line up on the right of each row — enough context to work from the titles alone.
  • Tapping a row opens that post on the board, and the header button opens the board in full.
  • When nothing is unread, recent posts take that space instead. Rather than an empty box, there is still something worth looking at.

How it connects in the all-in-one

The server decides what counts as unread

The board records who has read what, and the digest receives that verdict and displays it. The summary screen holds no read-state of its own.

Only what you have access to

Visibility follows exactly what the board permits, so being a summary view never lets a post outside your permissions leak through.

When to use it

  • Open just the digest when you get in and clear overnight notices and unread posts in one pass.
  • Come back from leave, size up the backlog from the count, and work down from the top.
  • Start with the posts drawing comments to find out what the team is currently talking about.
  • After posting a notice, check whether it is still sitting in unread lists to gauge how far it has spread.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from the boards themselves?

The boards list every post, organized board by board. The digest picks out the pinned notices, what you haven't read, and where discussion is active, and puts them on one screen.

Where does tapping a row take me?

To the board, with the post open. Marking it read is the board's job — come back to the digest and you'll see the updated state.

Will I see titles of posts I'm not allowed to open?

You won't. Only what you can read on the board is collected, so posts outside your access don't surface a title either.

How many items does it show at once?

Up to eight unread posts and up to five active discussions. A summary that grows as long as the full list stops being worth skimming, so go to the board when you want more.
