Uniform format cuts time spent collecting and reviewing reports

Daily Report is three fields you fill in and leave behind: what you did today, what is next, and what is blocking you. Each person writes one entry per day, and the rest of the team's entries for that same date stack up beside yours as a feed. Step the date backward or forward and past entries come back exactly as they were written.

What this app does

  • You write in three fields: what you did today, what is planned next, and what is in the way.
  • There is one entry per day, so reopening the same day brings back the text you wrote, and editing it overwrites what was there.
  • Entries the team posted on the same date are gathered next to yours.
  • Move the date back or forward to read earlier entries.
  • You can delete your own entry yourself.
  • Next plans and blockers save fine when left empty, so on a busy day it is enough to log what you did.

How it connects in the all-in-one

What you did lives here. What hours you worked lives in attendance.

The attendance board records when people clocked in and out; this records what was actually being worked on during those hours. The two sit under the same dates, so when the weekly report is due you can pull the hours and the substance side by side.

The team feed groups by date

Entries written separately gather under the day they belong to. A manager can see what the whole team worked on that day without digging back through individual chat threads.

When to use it

  • Close out the day by writing down what you did and what is blocking you, then pick it up there tomorrow.
  • Page back through the last five days by date while you assemble the weekly report.
  • A manager skims yesterday's team feed in the morning and starts with whatever is blocked.

Frequently asked questions

Can I write more than one entry a day?

One entry per person per day. Reopen the same day and your text is still sitting there; save your changes and the previous version is overwritten.

Can I read other people's entries?

Yes, through the team feed for that date. Even if your employee record is not registered yet and you cannot write your own entry, the team feed is still visible.

How do I find an older entry?

Step the date back or forward until you reach it. Whatever was written that day is still there, unchanged.

Do I have to fill in all three fields?

Just what you did today is enough to save. What is next and blockers are optional.
